Phone-maker HTC says it will fix an “error” that let advertisements pop up on the keyboard on some of its phones. Many users expressed anger online that ad banners had started appearing above the touchscreen keyboard while they were typing.
FACEBOOK REFUSES PAKISTAN’S ID DEMANDS:
Facebook has rejected Pakistan’s demand to link new accounts on its main service to users’ mobile phone numbers. Officials had requested the feature to tackle fake accounts, which they say had been used to spread hate material.
NETFLIX SAYS IT NOW HAS 104 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS WORLDWIDE:
Netflix shares surged on Monday after the firm said it now had about 104 million subscribers, a larger-than-expected number that boosted revenues. Company leaders said the gains were a sign that investment in new shows and movies was paying off as online television becomes more popular.
