Pakistan women team’s veteran spinner, Sana Mir was excited as she reached the top position in ODI bowling ranking on Tuesday.
“I am thankful that I have become the no.1 ODI bowler in the world,” said Sana Mir while talking to ARY News.
Mir said that good bowling performances are those which help the team to win, otherwise they are useless.
“You become a good bowler when your bowling helps your team to win,” she said.
She also accredited the head of coach of Pakistan women team, Michael Coles and told that he has played a vital role in making her a better bowler.

Mir told that she is fit and in form because of the skills, whereas, people are critical of people’s age in the sports ignoring the experience they bring in the game.
Talking about Pakistan’s next assignment of World T20 which is to be played in West Indies next month, she said her team has got some effective spinners that can tame any batting line.
“We have the best spinners in our line up,” she told. “We also have the third-ranked T20I bowler, Anam Amin in our team.”
“We will try to keep oppositions’ batting line under pressure with our spin bowling,” she added.
She was critical of Pakistan’s batting and stated that to perform well during the multi-nation T20I event, they will have to replicate how they batted against Australia in the recently concluded series.
