Pakistan’s B2B agriculture marketplace, Tazah Technology, announced on Wednesday that it had raised $2 million in pre-seed funding.
The round was co-led by Global Founders Capital and Zayn Capital. Other participating investors included Ratio Ventures, Walled City Co, i2i Ventures, Suya Ventures, Globivest, Afropreneur Syndicate, +92 Ventures, Sunu Capital, Musha Investments and others.

According to a new analyst report, Samsung is gearing up to announce its most profitable quarter in the past 3 years. Game-streaming platform Twitch has been the victim of a leak, reportedly divulging confidential company information and streamers’ earnings. More than 100GB of data was posted online on Wednesday. Facebook has apologised after it stopped working for users around the world for several hours on Monday. WhatsApp and Instagram – which are owned by the company – were also down.

Lime fights back against QR code snatchers:
Lime, the e-bike and scooter-hire company, is modifying its vehicles to stop people peeling off the QR codes. DeepMind faces legal action over NHS data use:
A legal case has been launched on behalf of more than a million people whose confidential medical records were obtained by Google. In 2015, Google’s AI firm DeepMind was given the personal records of 1.6 million patients at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The law firm handling the case said it was launched to address public concerns about the use of private health data by tech firms.

Intel not considering UK chip factory after Brexit:
The boss of Intel says the US chipmaker is no longer considering building a factory in the UK because of BrexitPat Gelsinger told the Media that before the UK left the EU, the country “would have been a site that we would have considered”.
But he added: “Post-Brexit… we’re looking at EU countries and getting support from the EU”. Intel wants to boost its output amid a global chip shortage that has hit the supply of cars and other goods.
