In a surprising development, the Ministry of Science & Technology has partnered with Binance to hold Future Fest 2022, the ministry’s flagship conference and expo for bringing together Pakistan’s top tech startups, investors, innovators, and technology professionals. The expo will be held on March 25, 26 and 27 in Islamabad. Making the announcement via Twitter, the ministry said, “The future is truly here! In an industry-first, historic step towards Web 3.0, we’re super excited to introduce Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange as an official partner for Future Fest 2022″.

MediaTek is working hard to take on Qualcomm in the high-end chipset market. The Dimensity 8000, 8100, and 9000 are expected to debut soon with flagship-grade performance, though the best part is that the D8000 and D8100 are meant for mid-range and high-end phones. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station revealed a few of D8100’s details in the past and now he has done it again. He says that the flagship-grade chip will be based on TSMC’s 5nm process and will support UFS 3.1 as well as LPDDR5 memory. There will be four Cortex A78 CPU cores tuned at 2.85Ghz and four Cortex A55 units at 2.0GHz.

Nokia is Launching PureBook Pro Laptops Globally:
When it comes to laptops, Nokia isn’t a brand you’d most likely think of, but it looks like that might be changing now. Owing to a recently signed exclusive licensing agreement between Nokia and the French company, OFF Global, Nokia branded laptops will be available in 22 countries around the globe. The first of these will be the Nokia PureBook Pro, which will be unveiled at MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona ahead of the official release later this year. The Nokia branded laptop had been previously available only in India, however, the new arrangement will allow the customers in several other countries to get their hands on this new device.

The subsidiary company of ZTE, Nubia has officially unveiled the Nubia Z40 Pro in China, a successor to the Nubia Z30 Pro. Measuring 161.9 x 72.9 x 8.4mm, the Z40 Pro weighs 199g and has a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display, a refresh rate of 144Hz, and 395 PPI pixel density. The handset has a similar box layout as the Z30 Pro, except for the placement of the camera module.

Recent reports claim that the Finnish smartphone manufacturer, HMD Global, has stopped the retail of most of its smartphones within the German and Swiss consumer markets owing to the lawsuit filed against HMD Global by VoiceAgeEVS LLC (VAEVS). VoiceAge EVS LLC is a company that licenses a global, standard-essential patent portfolio relating to voice and audio technologies for smartphones and other similar products. The company sued HMD Global over patents related to VoLTE and the Enhanced Voice Service standard that it is based on.

Oppo Air Glass Price and Release Date Unveiled:
Oppo had previously unveiled its first wearable smart glass under the moniker, Oppo Air Glass. The Oppo Air Glass would be the company’s first step towards a world of augmented reality (AR). If passed, the government’s online safety bill would force large social networks such as Facebook to let people filter out unverified accounts.
