Ahmad Shams El Din, head of research for MENA at EFG Hermes, highlighted the burgeoning indirect investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s stock market.

In a interview to Al-Ekhbariya, he emphasised the influx of liquidity and interest from global investment funds, attributing it to the Kingdom’s economic growth efforts and that new opportunities were driven by the liquidity witnessed in the Saudi market, reports Arab News .

He said the situation has created an incentive for companies to list on the Kingdom’s stock market and the derivatives market.

El Din noted that the expanding diversity of sectors represented in Tadawul reflects a significant shift in Saudi Arabia’s economic fundamentals. He highlighted the decoupling between oil prices and market indicators, signaling the success of the Kingdom’s diversification plans.

With sectors like tourism and real estate on the rise, El Din foresees a potential housing industry boom. He underlined the continued attractiveness of Saudi Arabia to foreign investors, particularly in light of its resilient economic performance amidst oil price fluctuations.

El Din also praised the pivotal role of the Public Investment Fund in bolstering various sectors and ensuring liquidity, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as an attractive destination for investment.
