Independence isn’t just a personal virtue, it’s a moral virtue. Abstractly independence refers to breaking chains. What we mean ‘independence’ of a ‘country’ we understand a distinct group of people living in a specific region, who are similar in terms of race, ethnicity, culture or any other significant factor binding them together, setting itself free from the governance of another entity which is fundamentally different from them.
Independence for a country is same as getting independence for an individual; the importance of being independent can be understood by an example Independent as people naturally tend to be a little more confident on handling issues affecting their lives. This is mainly because they are more prepared to take actions and do things without having to wait for support or permission from someone else.
Same goes with the country; an independent country can handle all its affairs internal or external. Its socio-economic policies and trade by its own will rather than being dictated by any foreign/imperialist/ masters.
Pakistan is one of the two countries in the world created in the name of religion; Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had a dream to create a land where Muslims and other minorities would be free to practice as per their personal preferences and there would be no discrimination based on colour, creed or religion.
The right of self-determination would culminate into confidence to live a better and prosperous life free from dominance and the ability to make the decision without any influence.

Quaid-e-Azam believed that creating a sovereign land would make people have self-value and self-esteem that initially lacked and knew that by providing those would help and accelerate the achievement of financial, emotional, social, career and personal independence gives you a sense of accomplishment that eventually changes how you rate yourself and how others view you.
Pakistan is the land of pious and the independent status it enjoys has been due the people who lost their homes, lives, family who actually gave in their sweat and blood to create a nation that unites under one flag, carries one homogenous identity and believes in the three main fundamental principles of Mohammad Ali Jinnah — Unity, Faith and Discipline.
An amazing quote by Friedrich Nietzsche sums it all:
“It is the business of the very few to be independent; it is a privilege of the strong. And whoever attempts it, even with the best right, but without being OBLIGED to do so, proves that he is probably not only strong, but also daring beyond measure. He enters into a labyrinth, he multiplies a thousandfold the dangers which life in itself already brings with it; not the least of which is that no one can see how and where he loses his way, becomes isolated, and is torn piecemeal by some minotaur of conscience. Supposing such a one comes to grief, it is so far from the comprehension of men that they neither feel it, nor sympathize with it. And he cannot any longer go back! He cannot even go back again to the sympathy of men!”
